by Shreya Chopra Shreya says, "As a woman of color and a current immigrant here in the states, its been a serious reality check for me to realize where I stand in the current climate. The days following the election only informed my fears after I was racially berated outside my apartment and sexually harassed a few days later in crowded street.
That being said, I do not think we should continue to wallow passively. If I witnessed anything during this election cycle, it was an overwhelming amount of apathy and lack of action and that cannot continue. This comic was about taking the things, that we as women, are told make us weaker and using them as instruments for strength and pride and as cheesy as it may sound - for love. This is not the time for hate, weakness or apathy, this is when we stop the bleeding, clean up our wounds and resist."
