by Jamaica Dyer Jamaica says, "I keep a daily comic diary, and through the course of this election I've done my best to keep my eyes open and record my feelings. The end result is a clash of horror and the mundane, the moments of beauty strike out stronger than before, the moments of grief sit on the page naked. I feel it captures the clash of everything, and the resolution at the end to carry on. "
by Lauren Simkin Berke Lauren says, "As a gender non-conforming person, I was foolish thinking I might see a time when my existence itself was not dangerous. Now, more than ever, trying to create images for the forces of good, to help in the struggle for human decency."
by Shreya Chopra Shreya says, "As a woman of color and a current immigrant here in the states, its been a serious reality check for me to realize where I stand in the current climate. The days following the election only informed my fears after I was racially berated outside my apartment and sexually harassed a few days later in crowded street.
That being said, I do not think we should continue to wallow passively. If I witnessed anything during this election cycle, it was an overwhelming amount of apathy and lack of action and that cannot continue. This comic was about taking the things, that we as women, are told make us weaker and using them as instruments for strength and pride and as cheesy as it may sound - for love. This is not the time for hate, weakness or apathy, this is when we stop the bleeding, clean up our wounds and resist." by Melanie Reim Melanie says, "From election night through just a minute ago, with each new realization of what this new day brings, the chorus of "NO" echoes in my head and in my world around me..."
by Erika Reir Erika says, "If we choose to only consume information that confirms our worldview while cutting ourselves off from all other sources of information it does not matter what the facts of any given situation are."
